Dream on

I have been thinking about this for a while now and this is what I have ocme up with, oin plenty of time before new years and panic buying into things I do not want :P

- Learn German (yes, I am recycling this one)

Because I go to germany so often, I should try to learn even the bleeding BASICS dammit. Current situation where I can't say anything intelligent or useful is not a good one.

- Adopt healthy behaviours

I eat too much crap and spenmd too much time sedentary to my liking. So the plan is to slowly but surely work on doing more healthy fun awesome things. Big part of this is to wish to gain some upper body strength - all the waffling about I do is great for my legs, but my arms are still woefully weak. Use mositurizer more often. Take care of myself kind of a thing.

- Go out more to things that are not clubs, gigs and festivals

This one should be ather self-evident. I get out of the house a lot more than I used to. But it is almosat always alla bout music. I keep clicking "maybe" on lots of awesome things on FB but do I ever go? Not really. and hwen I do go, it tends ot be pubs and stuff. This year I wnat to drag my ass out of the hose and hit a museum or two, maybe catch cirue du soleil in april - you know, stop limiting myself. Hell, go to more gigs in different genres for the matter.

- Read more

I still read a lot in fandom but I have not read books properly in a while. So I think in addittion to a genrealized read moar, I will endeavour to read the unread books in my flat asap.

- Write more

This year, i managed to win nanowrimo by the skin of my teeth. I want to do it again in 2012 and not fail horribly. I want to write more, full stop. I want to have at least one or two stories that i can say I wrote by the end of the year - short or not so short.

- Visit new places

I travel, sure, but I always go to the same places. in 2012 I would like to just - see new places. Go somewhere I've never been. Sure I wont be wintering in chile but I would like to see Belgium...

I think that about sums it up. These are the things I want to do and we shall see what happens.

I jsut finihed idnight BLue, a collection of the first three books - Sunglasses after dark, In the Blood and Paint it Black. And what can I say? harsh, guttural, incredibly fascinating, with characters who are damned real and more multifaceted than you would think, and so deliciously 80's dark side it makes my gothy little toes curl in my pointy boots.

Seriously.

And, Paint it black? did someting a book has not been able to do to e in avery long time.

it made me cry.

So Ara is v. v.l ded for being sick has been followed by being visited by a friend from FInal;nd. she is being brought to DOminion tonioght after a tour of Bruxelles, Eamon Doran's and the Dragon last night. and too much chopping for our own good.

Also have come o the realizationt hat I do not relaly like going to Btrux qwitout a Zoi or a Googleboy along - it is jsut not worth it. because people realy don;t like me. *sigh* we were both ona bad mood when we made outr way out of there, and were [pleasantly surprised to run into somonne nice and generllayy. well, nice at ED - Stefan. (Hope mhe madwe it to Germany ok...)

today has been.. more shoppping. and I think I have an idea for ropecon clothing.. Lieutenant Whip, anyone?

bu t difgressage. Dominion tonight, whee. good stuff in general. and damn but I feel sorta dead, ia m used to using saturdays for nothing but sleep, then Dominion.... not shopping till someone drops. Ehich reminds me, ran into someone when shopping. From Brux. the result? pretty much only things said were "i, how are you, when is Zoi back?" - pretty much ashows why I am so fucjking tired of going there. Allt he interesting peeps were at work owr away or somethign.

And yes, allt his means no deathly hallows for teh ara. spoil me and I will feed you your kneecaps. that's all.

Okay, gentlebeings i have another hurdle with the guitarfic.

Can someone tell me what guitar lessons actuallya re like? I mean, Thea obviously knows th ebasics. so I need to igure out what sort of a thing weould happen during more advanced lessons - what sort of thing Ray would have her do. Please be helfpul, of you wwho play the instrument of gods out there?

In other news, I gotr the Lordibook as a prezzie to self. daaamn, butit is awesome.

so, I justr read WExille's Valor... amuysingly enough asn an ebook even if The Giuy isw mailing me the book tomorrow - yes, i am a greedy bastard, deal with it. and now, musings of the sjhippy nature.

I ship Alberich/Selenay. For some reason, I shiop it to bits - I don't know why, I just do. Maybe it is because I want Alberich's babies, buit.. I just think they would have been so very well suited together - and damn,k I wish I could find some fic with themm.

I also ship Tremane/Solaris, for the matter - which is provbably just as bizarre a ship.

As you can guess, my internet is v. dead. Am reachabvle by e-mail and IRC only and even then, slightly spåoradically.... I have to wait for the computer to crash, mess weith the date setting,s, anbd THEN I can access the damned internet beyondf'd the frontpage of google.fi"!

Good news? Jen's done, reasonably cheap too. Bad news? I have no way of bringing her home. Not until WEednesday earliest. *sigh*

So yeah,. Ara is annoyeds. And pissed offa tht he stupidity of people. The guy who uusually gives me ridwes, fizxes my bike, all that? totaled his car, nearly got n'himself killed and his DL suspended for dreiving drunk! off his ass. *sigh* am just glad he didn'´t get hurt bad... but why do people have to be that stupid?

other than that not much to say. not feeling v. good due to the meds but... I'll live.
