Holiday meme time again!
Nov. 22nd, 2010 05:12 pmStep One
* Make a post (public, friends locked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
* If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
* Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
* Surf around your friendslist (or friends friends, or just random journals, or holiday_wishes/wish_list) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

So last night, Dominion.
- Music was awesome. I danced a lot, and
endon_neu playd Theremin: Happy Ara! (also, poor Bunny. 3 years here, he hears that song ONCE, and then it get splayed the week after he leaves. Ooops)
- The Boi played Fairytale of th North. i missed most of it, boo, but id get to dance to the end parts of it. And this was made of win. Even if his commentatary regarding the rewuestage was.. somewhat off-color form what I was told XD
- There was lots of dancing. some rahter random people danced with me which was fun. It i fucking annoying though to try to dance to KLOQ when omeone is trying to b all over you... Oops. Also, found dancing with Big guy to be more amusing than it has any right to be.
All in all, uch fun as had. I had a fun chat with G and there was lots ofshenanigans. Afterwards I took off unsociaiably early but what can I say? I had a good reason *grin*
All in all, fun was had. however, my phone is gone. *woe* i lost it this morning omw to work. ARGH! Especially since it had the ulra-rare pic of me with Bunny. *poouts*
but yea. Domninion was fun.

Dear mself: even if you are drinking on someone else's money - in this case, at a christmas party with an open bar - try to not to outdrink any two other people ut together at said party.
You will break a standar driks calculator and chuck up blackcurrant through your nose at the airport.
*grin*
But boy was it worth it. :D
Yes, back home now, and y tradition odf throwing up my guts at the prague airport when leavinbg was upheld.
I believe the photos abd vido footage form the party will be EPIC.

STEP ONE
Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. (This year, it's popular to have it listed on your info page.) The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post so that the holiday joy will spread.
STEP TWO
Surf around your friendslist (or friends' friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. (That's why this year we suggest you list 'wish list' under your interests so folks may search.) And now here's the important part:
If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it. Once a wish has been granted, it will be crossed off my list.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

Holidayness + music + stuffq
Dec. 4th, 2006 06:40 pmGuys - when I did theHoliday Wishlist Meme, I asked for a ticket to this thing when they are in Oulu: < href="http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=118153229">Raskas Joulu. Now, this is going to be on saturday, and therefore i am asking you guys to please tell me if someone intends to give me this t gift.
Because,t hans to the tax r eturns I got? I am going to be bale to afford the trip. I know it is not horribly wise to go there - it is, after all, monsey I could put towards the move. but.. it is also my 21st birthday, and with allt he hellish stress I have had because of everything.. i need to wind down. and this would be an ideal way of doing it.
So - was/is someone going to do this? I am not asking out of greed or anything - I jsut hate the idea that someone would be wasting their money if I get a ticket on my own before recieving the shiny.
(and it probably says a lot about me that my Christmas icon is between one that has a guy being clawed bloody and another that is about the buttsecks)
