I relaized something today.

I know much more of the alternative music scene of Ireland than I ever did of Finland.

I wonder if thi is a massive oversight on my part or jsut the natural proression of the fact that for the past two years, Ireland has been home. This is where I first tentatively set foot to a goth club and found myself uttering the admittance that ys, i actually do identify with that partiiular label. (note to self: should write about labels vs. stereptypes at some point)

I have never had anything by Varjo or Angelika Kult. if you asked me what club nights ran in Helsinki or any other city in Finland, I would draw a blank. (and direct them to unesta.

I ponder, how much do I want to rectify this? Do I want to start immersing myself in the goth scene of what was home once, jsut beause i an, jsut because I shoulod, jsut because that is where my roots lie? Except, of course, in this specific cultural instance they don't.

I think I need to think about this. espeially in the light of the fact aht there will be an actually famous (!) finnish goth DJ or two in Dominion next month.

Did you see the ads for the event in Dundalk on the march 13th on gothireland? form what I have gathered, those two wll be in Dublin in dominion the following fday, march 14th.

I can't really say if theya re relaly famous or not but I got the impression they might be. unesta probably knows them.

It will actually be a very interesting weekend - 13th there is a "depechye mode" stype party and then 14th there is this.
