Yes, anyone who comes from a culture that regularly cuts ice out in lakes so they can jump in them, and rolls around in the snow and beats themeselves with branches, can take puny English weather.

Ah, plan B is always of utmost importance when traveling.. start from the assumption that everything will go wrong. Don't be offended, but I just find it a little funny that you need to ask everyone's opinions about things you are planning to do. Perhaps it would be better for your spine to learn to make decisions (and mistakes) all on your own, without checking it with everyone else first? Altho, in this case, suggestions from more knowledgeable individuals are prolly a good thing. But I'm thinking about in general.

Laptop....
No wireless internet thingy?

Well if you have a real comfy sleeping bag then the tent is a good choice...but make sure thge slepping bag is not to thin...maybe you could put a little rug under it or something...^-^

and well about buying it...??? Why do you not borrow one? Or are there no options??? I would rather rent one then buy one...I mean what is the use of a tent if I never ever can use it...???
