Srtill no sign of the storm other than severe rain....Currently the storm is several hgundred KNMM south, but approaching. Power outages and fallen trees much happening. I went to the store and stocked up somewhat, both on peoplle food and kitty food.

so yeah, doing allright. Except that I feel jealous when I shouldn't.

The Pirate game is fun. We're fleshing out a NPC who is a navy leftenant by the name of Richard Cornwallis who looks incidentally a lot like a certain Horatio Hornblower (http://www.theage.com.au/ffxImage/urlpicture_id_1045330538443_2003/02/17/18e_Hornblower,0.jpg)... *giggle*

Of course, R's son was shot. and now rthere is much drama. I believ e R will take bloody vengance soon enough, though...

My friend's been on/seen (forget which) the ship that Hornblower was filmed on. But the cast were all off somewhere in the port being stars and she was being a good little Sea Cadet and so couldn't go stalk them.

Offspring got shot...oooooh dear. That sounds like the begining of a killing spree. Or, as you said, bloody vengence against those responsible.

And the poffspring SHOULD live, the best surgeon in the Caribbees is treating him. But yeah, bmuch bloody vengance, Because really, the kid's parents happen to both know QUITE a lot about causing pain and death.

R gets to kill the bitch who shot the kid. He will leqd herr to believe that he is letting her escape, then cop a bit of a feel, push her against a tree, and nail her with a dagger when she expects a kiss/ravishment. And then tell her how worthless she is, and how the only reason she had any of his attention was that she hurt his son.

I probably would be jealous of my friend if I watched Hornblower. What I'm mostly jealous of her for though is that she's been on safari and also seen the pyramids.

Oh, that really is a rather nasty thing to do. I guess she kind of deserves it, but still. I dread to think what would have happened if the boy died. Why did she shoot him anyway?

Hmmm... nope, I don't think anyone has done that.l But does a bastard offspring of a noble family with genealogy traceable back to the Byzantine times - acccording to him - count? Especially when he can claim that he practises swordplay 3 hours a day and is the unfailingest of all gentlemen?

That might count. But it might actually be true in some small way. I'd be very impressed if he could trace it back that far though. My dad's been trying to do our family tree for ages and has only gotten back a few hundred year...But there is an Eve coat of arms somewhere, so I could be related to some sort of past nobility. If Welsh nobility...

Family history? That is rather neat. My dad has a website which is uses to try and get more info...but I don't think it's going all that far. Although I think there may have been a report of potential relatives in New Zealand...
