I was going to bitch about the horrid rain and blasting thunder we've been having all day but hey, we're having it easy - I have seen no flying livestock. And the roof is still quite much there.
So.. instead, I shall ramble about food.

Bought food today,a s you cna guess. the reason being, well, the kitchen cabinets were glaring at me. And, yeah, food is a necessity for life. EVen if this meands I will be kind of "oops"-ed out when it comes time to pay the groecery bill.. I will be a 20 short unless I can convince SOMEONE to hhelp me out. (Someone = Dad, most likely. If he forgives me repeatedly having told him to fuck off lately. I know, I am a bad poerson.)

So, back to the subject at hand... food. I like food. Food is v. nice. Look at the icon - that is some vverry nice dessert-type stuff I did sometime last month - vanilla ice cream with raspberry filling-type stuff, fresh cloudberries and lots of whipped cream. Not that dessert is today's topic, even if I do plan on baking an apple pie soon...

So, ood. And the fridge. (So okay the door is kinda wacjky, the insulation leaks and the whole thing stinks... oops. Haven't cleaned much in the past month...) So, it is about what I have in the fridge. And THAT is... people food.

It's carrots, squash, fat-free yoghurt, butter, milk, cotatage cheese.. it's people food. It's stuff that is either eat-as-it-is like yogurt, otr it is will-demand-lots-of-preparation like red cabbage. No microwaveable dinners or anything mix-n-bake sort. it's... it's people food. the sort thgat I loathed when I was younger for the simple reasoon of most food at the palces I went to being really fucking badly done. Stuff I wouldn't have eaten had I been starving is now something I cook hjappily. I curse when I forget to buy milk. There are a gazxillion different conndiments and spoices here - heck, I even bought some cardemon today. And that, my friends, is... domestic like woah.

So I look at the kitchen cabinets. I got used to there never being what I needed because i hdn't gotten it yet - because hey, this iis a new place. But now, I look at the cabinets and go "Well, I can't think of many things that I'd actually need..." because damn, there s lots and lots of stuff here.

I guess it is finally hitting home that yeah, the day after tomorrow will be the one-year anniversary of Yours Truly starting to inhabit this particular domicle.

I like being domestic. Can I have my man and babies now?

Wanted to say sorry I've been so absent. Have started serious diet/ work out thing here and that's kept me very busy. Yes even away from the writing. NO fun. But I think I"ve come up for air and wanted to make a few suggestions. Some time back you mentioned 200 calorie diet and I know you were told why you shouldn't do that. So...having said that. Watch you portion size. Measure everythign. Each somehting, usually protein 2oz + salad (sans dressing) and 1 small baked pot. Mix a protein with a carb to get your metabolisim going. Also....stop using salt...just stop... watch your intake in sodas and preprepared food. I stopped drinking pepsi, which is the ONE thing I said I would NEVER do. So far and it's been two weeks, I've lost 13 pounds. Each something every 3 hours, watch your portion size and drink LOTS of water(no sodium added) add lemons, limes stuff like that, just a taste to make it taste better, but drink it and lots.

Get up and dance for 10-20 minutes at a time. Lay out your fave 'moving' songs and just go. Get moving. It's feel like you're dying for a week, but stick to it. Belive me since I've started moving, I have so much more energy. Speaking of energy, check your B12 levels or take a multivitamin.

I know you can do this, you helped insipre me to get started again. Now let's go. Post regular updates, make that promise, MOVE, WATER, portion control, NO SALT, explore herbs and spices. NO butter, oil, fat.

Try it with me for the next month, see if you don't feel better.

OH and what are 'cloud' berries, never heard of them.

*hugs*

Cloudberries are these little orange berries that resemble raspvberries a little and are found at swamps... they are all over the place here, but prized like woah elsewhere because they are so damn difficult to get.

Dieting IS good... I've let myself fall out of the wagon recently because of thwe whole stupid bastard sending me to chocolate-craving stupor for most of this month.. but yeah, will do my damned best to get back on track :)

(Irt's nort like I use salt anyway... and I have learned to stomach diet soda. which is of the "WTD?")

Look at the label on your diet soda. It contains anywhere from 200-400 mg of sodum, per serving. Salt makes you retain water, which keeps you heavier. :) just a thought.

I don't use salt at all.... unless I'm baking, that is the only times I use it. I remember at some point, a few years back, I was actually lacking sodium 0_o

(But actually... Irprefer to cheat and drinik the regular stuff, and just keep the portions v. small...)
