I relaized something today.
I know much more of the alternative music scene of Ireland than I ever did of Finland.
I wonder if thi is a massive oversight on my part or jsut the natural proression of the fact that for the past two years, Ireland has been home. This is where I first tentatively set foot to a goth club and found myself uttering the admittance that ys, i actually do identify with that partiiular label. (note to self: should write about labels vs. stereptypes at some point)
I have never had anything by Varjo or Angelika Kult. if you asked me what club nights ran in Helsinki or any other city in Finland, I would draw a blank. (and direct them to![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)

I ponder, how much do I want to rectify this? Do I want to start immersing myself in the goth scene of what was home once, jsut beause i an, jsut because I shoulod, jsut because that is where my roots lie? Except, of course, in this specific cultural instance they don't.
I think I need to think about this. espeially in the light of the fact aht there will be an actually famous (!) finnish goth DJ or two in Dominion next month.

I think that was been the longest i have been away from he internet without prior notice in years.
But yeah. am alive. interesting weekend. full body contact with the guy from Sheep on drugs... of course with proper protection. get they minds out of the gutter, he just leaned against me at the bar before the gig cause it was a bit packed in that end of the bar... so ok, even "fuilly clothed" may not count as proper protection with him but...
in other news, guess who is sick as a dog again?
I swar if my tosilitis doesn;t kill me, the drama fallout will.
But yeah. am alive. interesting weekend. full body contact with the guy from Sheep on drugs... of course with proper protection. get they minds out of the gutter, he just leaned against me at the bar before the gig cause it was a bit packed in that end of the bar... so ok, even "fuilly clothed" may not count as proper protection with him but...

Late forwork 2 days in a row, sleeping less than 4 hours despite the being late thing, and in genertal not feleinbg very good is on today;s agensda. seeing the landlady today, the fucking bathroom drain is not working, and ing enral is not a good day.
but, the arabox is currently cleaner than it probably has ever vbeen since boxship was handed over. Peoples are welcome to drop over to boggle. State shoudl stay clean tillt omorrow - since tomorrow is the last day I can do laundry before i fly back for a brief visit, you can imagine the statew iwt will eb in afterwards... unmentionables hanging everywhere, a bad case of wherethefuckisitis, etc :P
incidentally, those who come to ropecon are herefore obliged to have a go at the goth larp I am running withhoarmurath - 7yes,we are crazty and yes,.we are taking hte piss out of a lot of things. and this is the thing I will have to DJ at, formthe looks of it - we won; have anyone else doing it so.. I get to do it. <3
Also... Jan has lost her mind.c ause for some strange and mysrterious reason> Yours truly isnow the #1 friend ont he Tempest myspace. wtf, world, wtf.
(Oh, and no I do not know what to wear to ropecon. must plot :P)
