Note to self_ if using whipping cream for mashed potatoes, sure as hell donöt overdo it. the texture odf my dinner is... interesting, to not to put too fine a pointon it.
I donöt particularly like the sourness... as it is, I usually use vaguely creamlike substitute meant for cooking - it gives a good taste but has v. little fat in it. THis time, tho, had none so.. whipping cream it was.

And I like the slightly sour flavor from the sour cream. :x But then again, sour cream + potato in some form is an easy way to make me happy.
